As part of our photography assignment, we ditched the classroom for something way cooler—a photowalk! Destination? Some of Delhi’s most iconic heritage gems: Qutb Minar, Safdarjung Tomb, and Lodhi Garden. Spoiler alert: no DSLRs were harmed in the making of this project. Just me, my iPhone, and a whole lot of “wait, this angle is great” moments.
With nothing but phone storage and a questionable sense of direction, I tried my best to channel my inner Annie Leibovitz (or at least, the Instagram version). Portraits, symmetry, lighting, scale—I played with it all. Did I nail it every time? Maybe not, but did I have the best time pretending I was on assignment for National Geographic while crouching dramatically near pigeons? Absolutely.
This wasn’t just a college task—it was an accidental deep dive into visual storytelling. I now officially appreciate golden hour, shadows, and the glory of “tap to focus.” So no, I’m not a professional photographer (yet?), but I did walk away with a new skill, a fresh creative itch, and a camera roll full of moments I’m proud of.
